Choose
life
|
|
...As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no
pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that
the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye,
turn ye from your evil ways;...
But if the wicked turn from his wickedness, and
do that which is lawful and right, he shall
live thereby.

The
Way of Life
|
|
He
is in the way of life that keepeth instruction:
but he that refuseth reproof erreth.
In the way of righteousness is life; and in the
pathway thereof there is no death.

10v17, 12v28

What
the call of God entails -
Recognising that our old ways don't result in
true peace, harmony and righteousness.
Realising that we are sinful and that continuing
in this state, without becoming reconciled to God, will
result in death.
Diligently seeking after a knowledge of God,
so that we may love Him and keep His commandments with
reverence.
After arriving at a good understanding of the
key Bible doctrines, to be baptised into the saving
Name of God's Son.
Accepting Jesus Christ as our saviour and confirming
that there are no other means by which we can be delivered
from death.
Accepting correction from God so that we may
develop into people that reflect God's character, through
patient endurance.
Loving the Lord our God with all our heart, all
our soul, all our mind and all our strength - Mark 12v30
Loving our neighbour as ourselves - Mark 12v31
Continuing resolutely in the apostles' doctrine,
and fellowship, in the breaking of bread (remembrance
of Christ's death) and in prayers. - Acts 2v42
By keeping Christ's commandments and by applying
grace to our dealings with others, it is hoped that
our characters will change, so that on judgement day
we will be recognisable by Christ as one of his brethren.
- Matthew 12v50
By doing the will of God, we become reconciled
to Him, and we will receive the gift of eternal life.
This is our hope. We pray it may be yours also.

Part
of God's family

|
For
whosoever shall do the will of my Father which
is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister,
and mother.

The
above is a brief outline of the pathway to life. We
will conclude by examining the 2 choices before us.
