THE
MESSAGE IS CLEAR
Whatever
the details might be concerning various nations, we ask you to at least
consider the unmistakable language of these chapters. This is a
large scale invasion by many nations from far and wide that affects the
whole world. We are also told that this can only occur once the Jewish
people are back in their land. This brings us into the timeframe subsequent
to Israel becoming a nation in 1948:
“After
many days, you will be called to arms. In future years you will invade
a land that has recovered from war, whose people were gathered from many
nations to the mountains of Israel, which had long been desolate.”
(Ezekiel 38v8)
A
vast number of more detailed prophecies in Daniel & Revelation
indicate that the world will also witness a revival of the Roman Empire.
Key prophecies in Daniel 2,7,8,11 and Revelation 14,16,17,18,19
all emphasise this fact. This is confirmed by events today, particularly
in the welding together of European nations politically, monetarily,
religiously and now militarily - known as the European Union. No-one
can doubt that we are seeing today the revival in Europe of another Holy
Roman Empire. The Roman Church has also been instrumental in the establishment
of the European Union and is a key player in European political affairs.
At
the crucial moment the military power of Europe, united with Russia,
the Islamic nations and others will be drawn into the Middle East,
and particularly against Israel where events will act as a magnet. Britain
and the US will be powerless to save Israel from destruction. Only Divine
intervention will save Israel and the world from this catastrophe. Read
the unmistakable intervention into world affairs by God in Ezekiel
38v17-23. Consider the restoration of the Jewish nation in Ezekiel
39 & Isaiah 60-66. It is clear that the Bible alone offers
a way of escape and a real hope for our troubled world. It reveals the
ultimate victory over the tragedy of human suffering and shows the way
to eternal life.
