THE
BIBLE IS THE WORD OF GOD
The
Bible constantly appeals to its claim to be the infallible Word of God
(eg. 2 Tim 3v15-17; 1 Peter 1v23 etc.). We ask you to simply consider
with an open mind what the Bible says. The Bible is God’s revelation
about Himself and His purpose with the earth through His Son Jesus Christ.
One of the greatest proofs of the Bible is its prophecies, particularly
about Israel. The Bible predicted 2500 years before it happened that the
Jewish people would return to their land again and restore their nation
in a land that was once desolate (Jer 31v8; Ezek 38v8 etc.). We
believe that there is abundant proof that the Bible is true and that it
is infallible. This is a whole subject in itself, but it is not the purpose
of these notes to prove this. If we accept that the Bible really is the
Word of God, then we are bound to take notice of what it says. Either
the Bible is the infallible Word of God or it isn’t. The vast majority
of prophecies in the Bible are plain, simple and unambiguous.
