God the source of all power

Deuteronomy 4v24 For the LORD thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God.
4v35 Unto thee it was shewed, that thou mightest know that the LORD he is God; there is none else beside him.

Isaiah 44v8 Fear ye not, neither be afraid: have not I told thee from that time, and have declared it? ye are even my witnesses. Is there a God beside me? yea, there is no God; I know not any.

Isaiah 45v5 I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me:
45v6 That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the LORD, and there is none else.
45v7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.

God brings calamity

Exodus 32v14 And the LORD repented of the evil which he thought to do unto his people.

1 Kings 21v21 Behold, I will bring evil upon thee, and will take away thy posterity, and will cut off from Ahab him that pisseth against the wall, and him that is shut up and left in Israel,

1 Kings 22v23 Now therefore, behold, the LORD hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these thy prophets, and the LORD hath spoken evil concerning thee.

Job 1v21 And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.

Job 2v10 But he said unto her, Thou speakest as one of the foolish women speaketh. What? shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this did not Job sin with his lips.

Amos 3v6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?

Hebrews 12v5 And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:
12v6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.
12v7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?
12v8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.

Demons are powerless idols

Deuteronomy 32v17 They sacrificed unto devils, not to God; to gods whom they knew not, to new gods that came newly up, whom your fathers feared not.
32v21 They have moved me to jealousy with that which is not God; they have provoked me to anger with their vanities: and I will move them to jealousy with those which are not a people; I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation.

1 Corinthians 8v4 As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is none other God but one.
8v5 For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,)
8v6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.

1 Corinthians 10v19 What say I then? that the idol is any thing, or that which is offered in sacrifice to idols is any thing?
10v20 But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils.
10v21 Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils.

Revelation 9v20 And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk:

Sickness

Deuteronomy 28v60 Moreover he will bring upon thee all the diseases of Egypt, which thou wast afraid of; and they shall cleave unto thee.
28v61 Also every sickness, and every plague, which is not written in the book of this law, them will the LORD bring upon thee, until thou be destroyed.

Matthew 8v16 When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick:
8v17 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.

John 9v1 And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth.

1 Corinthians 11v29 For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.
11v30 For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.

Unclean / evil spirits from God

Judges 9v23 Then God sent an evil spirit between Abimelech and the men of Shechem; and the men of Shechem dealt treacherously with Abimelech:

1 Samuel 16v14 But the Spirit of the LORD departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the LORD troubled him.
16v15 And Saul's servants said unto him, Behold now, an evil spirit from God troubleth thee.
16v16 Let our lord now command thy servants, which are before thee, to seek out a man, who is a cunning player on an harp: and it shall come to pass, when the evil spirit from God is upon thee, that he shall play with his hand, and thou shalt be well.

Temptation comes from within

Genesis 8v21 And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done.

Jeremiah 17v9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?

Matthew 15v18 But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man.
15v19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:

James 1v13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:
1v14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
1v15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.
