Faith
Faithfulness,
loyalty
Malachi
2v14 Yet ye say, Wherefore? Because the LORD hath been
witness between thee and the wife of thy youth, against whom
thou hast dealt treacherously: yet is she thy companion, and
the wife of thy covenant.
Galatians
5v22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace,
longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Romans
3v3 For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief
make the faith of God without effect?
The
faith as a set of beliefs
Acts
6v7 And the word of God increased; and the number of the
disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company
of the priests were obedient to the faith.
Acts
13v8 But Elymas the sorcerer (for so is his name by interpretation)
withstood them, seeking to turn away the deputy from the faith.
Acts
14v22 Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting
them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much
tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.
Galatians
1v23 But they had heard only, That he which persecuted
us in times past now preacheth the faith which once he destroyed.
Ephesians
4v13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of
the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto
the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
Philippians
1v27 Only let your conversation be as it becometh the
gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else
be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast
in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith
of the gospel;

Timothy 3v9 Holding the mystery of the faith in a pure
conscience.

Timothy 4v1,6 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that
in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving
heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou
shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in
the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast
attained.

Timothy 4v7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished
my course, I have kept the faith:
Titus
1v13 This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply,
that they may be sound in the faith;

certainty about things not seen
Genesis
12v1-4 Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out
of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's
house, unto a land that I will shew thee:
And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee,
and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that
curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth
be blessed.
So Abram departed, as the LORD had spoken unto him; and Lot
went with him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when
he departed out of Haran.

Samuel 17v45-47 Then said David to the Philistine, Thou
comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield:
but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God
of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied.
This day will the LORD deliver thee into mine hand; and I
will smite thee, and take thine head from thee; and I will
give the carcases of the host of the Philistines this day
unto the fowls of the air, and to the wild beasts of the earth;
that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel.
And all this assembly shall know that the LORD saveth not
with sword and spear: for the battle is the LORD's, and he
will give you into our hands.

Chronicles 20v20 And they rose early in the morning, and
went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa: and as they went
forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye
inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the LORD your God, so
shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye
prosper.
Daniel
3v15-18 Now if ye be ready that at what time ye hear the
sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer,
and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the image
which I have made; well: but if ye worship not, ye shall be
cast the same hour into the midst of a burning fiery furnace;
and who is that God that shall deliver you out of my hands?
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, answered and said to the
king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee
in this matter.
If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from
the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine
hand, O king.
But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not
serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast
set up.
Matthew
8v5-13 And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there
came unto him a centurion, beseeching him,
And saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy,
grievously tormented.
And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him.
The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that
thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only,
and my servant shall be healed.
For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me:
and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come,
and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.
When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed,
Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no,
not in Israel.
And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and
west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob,
in the kingdom of heaven.
But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer
darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou
hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was
healed in the selfsame hour.
Matthew
9v2,20-22 And, behold, they brought to him a man sick
of the palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith
said unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; thy
sins be forgiven thee.
And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of
blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of
his garment:
For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment,
I shall be whole.
But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said,
Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole.
And the woman was made whole from that hour.
Matthew
15v21-28 Then Jesus went thence, and departed into the
coasts of Tyre and Sidon.
And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts,
and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou
son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.
But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and
besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after
us.
But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost
sheep of the house of Israel.
Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me.
But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's
bread, and to cast it to dogs.
And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs
which fall from their masters' table.
Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy
faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter
was made whole from that very hour.
Matthew
17v20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief:
for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of
mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence
to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be
impossible unto you.
Matthew
21v18-22 Now in the morning as he returned into the city,
he hungered.
And when he saw a fig tree in the way, he came to it, and
found nothing thereon, but leaves only, and said unto it,
Let no fruit grow on thee henceforward for ever. And presently
the fig tree withered away.
And when the disciples saw it, they marvelled, saying, How
soon is the fig tree withered away!
Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you,
If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this
which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto
this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the
sea; it shall be done.
And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing,
ye shall receive.
Mark
16v14 Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat
at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness
of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him
after he was risen.
Luke
17v12-19 And as he entered into a certain village, there
met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off:
And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master,
have mercy on us.
And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves
unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went,
they were cleansed.
And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back,
and with a loud voice glorified God,
And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks:
and he was a Samaritan.
And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but
where are the nine?
There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save
this stranger.
And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made
thee whole.
John
20v26-29 And after eight days again his disciples were
within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being
shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.
Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold
my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my
side: and be not faithless, but believing.
And Thomas answered and said unto him, My LORD and my God.
Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou
hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet
have believed.
Acts
14v8-10 And there sat a certain man at Lystra, impotent
in his feet, being a cripple from his mother's womb, who never
had walked:
The same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him, and
perceiving that he had faith to be healed,
Said with a loud voice, Stand upright on thy feet. And he
leaped and walked.
