The Word of God.

The gospel is the 'good news' of the coming Kingdom of God, preached by Jesus Christ during his ministry and the apostles, and all faithful Christians since that time. It is the promise of salvation through faith in the atoning work of Jesus Christ.

"Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom…." (Matthew 4:23).

"…I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile." (Romans 1:16).
