There is not much outside the Scriptures denoting this or many other events of the Lord Jesus and why the unbelieving Orthodox Jews or Atheists do not believe unto Him. Has there been a study on the Veil of Moses and the Veil of the Sanctuary on this forum yet?

Note the use of the word "veil" for moses and the use of "un-veiling" of Jesus in Revelation where Jesus is appearing for the Final Consummation of Israel and Judah.

I also found it interesting the word used for the veil of the Sanctuary is from the greek word for "wings" or "to fly". Thoughts?

(Young) Mark 15:38 and the veil of the sanctuary was rent in two, from top to bottom, to <3588> {THE} katapetasma <2665> {VEIL}

2665. katapetasma kat-ap-et'-as-mah from a compound of 2596 and a congener of 4072; something spread thoroughly, i.e. (specially) the door screen (to the Most Holy Place) in the Jewish Temple:--vail. 2596. kata kat-ah' a primary particle; (prepositionally) down (in place or time), in varied relations (according to the case (genitive, dative or accusative) with which it is joined):--about, according as (to), after, against, (when they were) ......................4072. petomai pet'-om-ahee, or prolongation petaomai pet-ah'-om-ahee, or contracted ptaomai ptah'-om-ahee middle voice of a primary verb; to fly:--fly(-ing).

petomai (Strong's 4072) occurs 5 times in 5 verses: Interesting the greek word for "flying" is used 5 times in revelation.

2 corin 3:12 Therefore, since we have such hope, we use great boldness of speech -- 13 unlike Moses, [who] put a veil over his face so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the end of what was passing away. 14 But their minds were dull. For until this day the same veil remains unlifted in the reading of the Old Testament, because the [veil] is taken away in Christ. 15 But even to this day, when Moses is read, a veil lies on their heart. 16 Nevertheless when one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. [kalumma <2571>]

2571. kaluma kal'-oo-mah from 2572; a cover, i.e. veil:--vail. 2572. kalupto kal-oop'-to akin to 2813 and 2928; to cover up (literally or figuratively):--cover, hide. 2813. klepto klep'-to a primary verb; to filch:--steal. 2928. krupto kroop'-to a primary verb; to conceal (properly, by covering):--hide (self), keep secret, secret(-ly).

[ISA] Revelation 1:1 [a/an] Revealing/Un-veiling[ apo-kaluyiV] Jesus Christ, which gives/edwken <1325> to him, the God, to show to the bondservants of him, which[P] is behooving to be becoming in swiftness;

..............."The great truth of the rending of the veil is seen in Jesus. The veil in the temple was rent at the precise moment of Jesus' death. But the temple was merely a symbol, a shadow of the greater and true and eternal temple - Christ and His body. Where was the veil rent? "Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way, which He hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, His flesh" (Heb. 10:19-20). The true veil that was rent was HIS FLESH, for He Himself was the true temple of God, the Holiest of all, the dwelling place of the glory of His Father. His flesh as a man was rent. His human flesh, His natural life, was the veil that covered and concealed the Holy of holies within Him in the same way that the veil in Herod's temple concealed the Shekinah of Yahweh from the priesthood of Israel...............

Thanks for posting this. I am very much interested in doing a study on just this subject. :swoon:
And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.
