Bible Timelines
Because the books of the Bible are arranged in sections according to the style of literature (law, history, wisdom, etc.), it can sometimes be confusing to fit the Bible events into chronological (time) order. The following table gives the books in rough chronological order. The other charts in this section show some important Bible events along timelines.

Thanks Librarian.
Note to Beginner readers and students. The best way to study timelines and who lived when is to do the study yourself instead of looking up charts. Obviously charts are useful as guides especially when there are disputes over dates, but an enjoyable and necessary exercise is to draw up charts yourself. Write down who the prophets and priests were for each king, and which for which region. What bad and good things were done, the judgments declared, conflicts, and other details. The more you become involved the easier it will be to remember the facts, the less you will need to ask others and the better prepared you will be when preaching and assisting others.

Do all things without murmurings and disputings: that ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world...
