The Bible does say God fathered him after his birth, but how can you be fathered twice? You can be born twice, but how can you be fathered by the same father twice? This is one of the things that has shaken my faith the most about the inspiration of the New Testament.
That reminds me of what Nicodemus asked Jesus except Nicodemus thought Jesus meant that a man had to re-enter his mothers womb in order to be born again. In other words, how can you have the same mother twice.
"Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?
Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again."
"That which is born of flesh is flesh"---The first birth. see(Rom 1:3)
"That which is born of The Spirit is spirit"---The born again birth or second birth. see (Rom 1:4)
"And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.
Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual."
Jesus is referred to as spirit. However, the spiritual (Birth) is not first. The natural or earthy (Birth)is first then, afterward, the spiritual (Birth).
All of this happens because there is a God in heaven who alone is God....The Father...there is none beside Him....He is the One true God. Father of all.
