Do not kill

Exodus 20v13 Thou shalt not kill.

Leviticus 24v21 And he that killeth a beast, he shall restore it: and he that killeth a man, he shall be put to death.

Numbers 35v16 And if he smite him with an instrument of iron, so that he die, he is a murderer: the murderer shall surely be put to death.
35v17 And if he smite him with throwing a stone, wherewith he may die, and he die, he is a murderer: the murderer shall surely be put to death.
35v18 Or if he smite him with an hand weapon of wood, wherewith he may die, and he die, he is a murderer: the murderer shall surely be put to death.
35v19 The revenger of blood himself shall slay the murderer: when he meeteth him, he shall slay him.
35v20 But if he thrust him of hatred, or hurl at him by laying of wait, that he die;
35v21 Or in enmity smite him with his hand, that he die: he that smote him shall surely be put to death; for he is a murderer: the revenger of blood shall slay the murderer, when he meeteth him.
35v22 But if he thrust him suddenly without enmity, or have cast upon him any thing without laying of wait,
35v23 Or with any stone, wherewith a man may die, seeing him not, and cast it upon him, that he die, and was not his enemy, neither sought his harm:
35v24 Then the congregation shall judge between the slayer and the revenger of blood according to these judgments:
35v25 And the congregation shall deliver the slayer out of the hand of the revenger of blood, and the congregation shall restore him to the city of his refuge, whither he was fled: and he shall abide in it unto the death of the high priest, which was anointed with the holy oil.
35v26 But if the slayer shall at any time come without the border of the city of his refuge, whither he was fled;
35v27 And the revenger of blood find him without the borders of the city of his refuge, and the revenger of blood kill the slayer; he shall not be guilty of blood:
35v28 Because he should have remained in the city of his refuge until the death of the high priest: but after the death of the high priest the slayer shall return into the land of his possession.
35v29 So these things shall be for a statute of judgment unto you throughout your generations in all your dwellings.
35v30 Whoso killeth any person, the murderer shall be put to death by the mouth of witnesses: but one witness shall not testify against any person to cause him to die.
35v31 Moreover ye shall take no satisfaction for the life of a murderer, which is guilty of death: but he shall be surely put to death.
35v32 And ye shall take no satisfaction for him that is fled to the city of his refuge, that he should come again to dwell in the land, until the death of the priest.
35v33 So ye shall not pollute the land wherein ye are: for blood it defileth the land: and the land cannot be cleansed of the blood that is shed therein, but by the blood of him that shed it.
35v34 Defile not therefore the land which ye shall inhabit, wherein I dwell: for I the LORD dwell among the children of Israel.

Deuteronomy 5v17 Thou shalt not kill.

Deuteronomy 19v11 But if any man hate his neighbour, and lie in wait for him, and rise up against him, and smite him mortally that he die, and fleeth into one of these cities:
19v12 Then the elders of his city shall send and fetch him thence, and deliver him into the hand of the avenger of blood, that he may die.
19v13 Thine eye shall not pity him, but thou shalt put away the guilt of innocent blood from Israel, that it may go well with thee.

Matthew 5v21 Ye have heard that it was said of them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:
5v22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.

Matthew 26v52 Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.

1 John 3v15 Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.

Love your enemies

Exodus 23v4 If thou meet thine enemy's ox or his ass going astray, thou shalt surely bring it back to him again.
23v5 If thou see the ass of him that hateth thee lying under his burden, and wouldest forbear to help him, thou shalt surely help with him.

Psalms 35v11 False witnesses did rise up; they laid to my charge things that I knew not.
35v12 They rewarded me evil for good to the spoiling of my soul.
35v13 But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth: I humbled my soul with fasting; and my prayer returned into mine own bosom.
35v14 I behaved myself as though he had been my friend or brother: I bowed down heavily, as one that mourneth for his mother.
35v15 But in mine adversity they rejoiced, and gathered themselves together: yea, the abjects gathered themselves together against me, and I knew it not; they did tear me, and ceased not:
35v16 With hypocritical mockers in feasts, they gnashed upon me with their teeth.
35v17 Lord, how long wilt thou look on? rescue my soul from their destructions, my darling from the lions.

Proverbs 25v21 If thine enemy be hungry, give him bread to eat; and if he be thirsty, give him water to drink:
25v22 For thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head, and the LORD shall reward thee.

Matthew 5v43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.
5v44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

Luke 6v27 But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you,
6v28 Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.
6v29 And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloak forbid not to take thy coat also.
6v30 Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again.
6v31 And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.
6v32 For if ye love them which love you, what thank have ye? for sinners also love those that love them.
6v33 And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same.
6v34 And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye? for sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much again.
6v35 But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.

Luke 23v34 Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.

Acts 7v60 And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep.

Romans 12v14 Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.

1 Peter 3v9 Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing.

Do not resist evil people

1 Samuel 24v10 Behold, this day thine eyes have seen how that the LORD had delivered thee to day into mine hand in the cave: and some bade me kill thee: but mine eye spared thee; and I said, I will not put forth mine hand against my lord; for he is the LORD's anointed.
24v11 Moreover, my father, see, yea, see the skirt of thy robe in my hand: for in that I cut off the skirt of thy robe, and killed thee not, know thou and see that there is neither evil nor transgression in mine hand, and I have not sinned against thee; yet thou huntest my soul to take it.
24v12 The LORD judge between me and thee, and the LORD avenge me of thee: but mine hand shall not be upon thee.

Proverbs 20v22 Say not thou, I will recompense evil; but wait on the LORD, and he shall save thee.

Proverbs 24v29 Say not, I will do so to him as he hath done to me: I will render to the man according to his work.

Matthew 5v38 Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth:
5v39 But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.
5v40 And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloak also.
5v41 And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain.
5v42 Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.

Luke 6v29 And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloak forbid not to take thy coat also.

Romans 12v17 Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.
12v18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
12v19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
12v20 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.
12v21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

1 Corinthians 6v7 Now therefore there is utterly a fault among you, because ye go to law one with another. Why do ye not rather take wrong? why do ye not rather suffer yourselves to be defrauded?

1 Thessalonians 5v15 See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.

Governments are appointed by God

Jeremiah 27v4 And command them to say unto their masters, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Thus shall ye say unto your masters;
27v5 I have made the earth, the man and the beast that are upon the ground, by my great power and by my outstretched arm, and have given it unto whom it seemed meet unto me.
27v6 And now have I given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant; and the beasts of the field have I given him also to serve him.

Daniel 2v20 Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever: for wisdom and might are his:
2v21 And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding:

Daniel 4v17 This matter is by the decree of the watchers, and the demand by the word of the holy ones: to the intent that the living may know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up over it the basest of men.

Romans 13v1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
13v2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.

Submit to rulers

Romans 13v1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
13v2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.
13v3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same:
13v4 For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.
13v5 Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake.
13v6 For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God's ministers, attending continually upon this very thing.
13v7 Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour.

Titus 3v1 Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work,
3v2 To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.

1 Peter 2v13 Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme;
2v14 Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well.

We are citizens of God's Kingdom

Psalms 39v12 Hear my prayer, O LORD, and give ear unto my cry; hold not thy peace at my tears: for I am a stranger with thee, and a sojourner, as all my fathers were.

Ephesians 2v19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;

Philippians 3v20 For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:

Hebrews 11v13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.
11v14 For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country.
11v15 And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned.
11v16 But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.

1 Peter 1v17 And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:

1 Peter 2v11 Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;

Do not swear

Matthew 5v34 But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God's throne:
5v35 Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King.
5v36 Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black.
5v37 But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.

Matthew 23v16 Woe unto you, ye blind guides, which say, Whosoever shall swear by the temple, it is nothing; but whosoever shall swear by the gold of the temple, he is a debtor!
23v17 Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gold, or the temple that sanctifieth the gold?
23v18 And, Whosoever shall swear by the altar, it is nothing; but whosoever sweareth by the gift that is upon it, he is guilty.
23v19 Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gift, or the altar that sanctifieth the gift?
23v20 Whoso therefore shall swear by the altar, sweareth by it, and by all things thereon.
23v21 And whoso shall swear by the temple, sweareth by it, and by him that dwelleth therein.
23v22 And he that shall swear by heaven, sweareth by the throne of God, and by him that sitteth thereon.

James 5v12 But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath: but let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay; lest ye fall into condemnation.
